CURRENT TRENDS IN FRACTURE CARE
Orthopedic trauma surgery is a continually evolving field. Innovations in technology often
drive trends in fracture management, and surgeons are continually developing new
techniques to improve the care of the injured patient. It is essential for the practicing
surgeon to understand the strengths, limitations, and indications for use of these
emerging technologies or techniques.
Program Goals
- Explore current controversies in fracture care
- Discuss the role of arthroplasty in acute fracture management
- Provide an update on the treatment of common post-traumatic complications
and soft tissue injuries
RESIDENT RESEARCH POSTER CONTEST
Resident research posters will be accepted for display. Topics related to orthopedic
trauma - including basic science, nerve injury, and soft tissue injury - are encouraged.
Awards will be given to the top posters as judged by the faculty.
